Temporary Rooftop Guardrails Built for Demanding Jobsite Conditions
Our portable guardrail system is a rugged, contractor-grade fall protection solution designed for temporary use on rooftops. Built to meet OSHA construction standards, it features modular, freestanding sections that can be quickly set up without roof penetration. The system includes durable galvanized components, optional safety yellow powder coating, and toeboard compatibility. Lightweight and easy to move, it offers the strength of a permanent guardrail with the flexibility contractors need on dynamic jobsites.
Easy Installation
The modular design enables two installers to set up 100 feet of guardrail in about an hour using standard tools. Each base weight is made of two interlocking 45-pound halves with built-in handles, making transport and positioning easy for one person.
Non-Penetrating
The free-standing guardrail is secured by weighted bases, eliminating the need for roof membrane penetration or specialized anchoring hardware, thus preserving roof integrity and warranty compliance.
Durable
All structural components are fabricated from galvanized steel for enhanced durability and rust prevention. Bases are constructed from recycled PVC, engineered for impact resistance and weather resilience

- What thickness should guardrail rails be?
The required size of a guardrail’s rails can vary based on local codes and the materials used, but OSHA typically calls for sturdy construction with a minimum thickness of 1/4 inch for both the top and midrails. Most systems use 1.90-inch outer diameter tubing or 1.5-inch nominal pipe to meet strength and durability standards.
- What is an OSHA compliant guardrail
In general, a guardrail must have a top rail, midrail, and uprights. Top Rail – 42″ +/-3″, mid rail – 21″, & can withstand a 200 lbs. point load or 50 lbs. per linear foot. A toeboard should also be included if there is a risk associated with kicked objects falling on anyone below
